Hi, I'm Liz
A LETTER FROM LIZ!
Hi I'm Liz! Thanks for visiting Lizash.com! As principal of Liz Ash LLC, your experience here is important to me. My blog focuses on discovering, featuring, and discussing the work of inspiring new (or old) artists, designers, fashion, and, generally, Newness. I focus on unknown collections of more mainstream artists like Andy Warhol's polaroids at the same time that I showcase up-and-coming, under-the-radar artists like Elyse Blackshaw. I am always in search of that 360-degree explanation of every thing. So don't be surprised to see some psychological terms and fashion from a sociological standpoint for example this blog post on Georg Simmel and his theories on fashion and culture. So happy to be called a DC's MUST READ blog by Washington Life Magazine and a Top 40 blog for fashion, art, branding, and my less-self centered, less selfie, WIWT, way of blogging :)

'No longer are the days of a simple graphic logo and static brand bible..in today's technologically-advanced world, brands need to be more like people - strong enough to travel through time and space and having the ability to adapt and grow in new environments. Branding is no longer a 2D process or product, it's 3D and multifaceted like diamond,' comments Ash, just honored as one of the 40 recipients of the prestigious '40 under 40' award by Washington Life Magazine.
Creative Director and Consultant aside, Liz Ash is also a Fashion Blogger, Artist, Illustrator and Collaborator; Ash has a knack for Creativity, a passion for Technology and an eye for Newness (the up-and-coming, and novel shapes). Ash specifically focuses on consulting and development in branding, art, illustration, and design. Ash is a fine artist at heart, where her serial illustrated works- all done by hand- are available in limited-edition lithographic prints (hand numbered and signed), and also available for purchase worldwide. Ash graduated with a B.A. from Eugene Lang College (the private writing subsidiary of The New School) and a BFA from Parsons School of Design) in 2012, she has degrees in both Creative Writing/Literature and Fine Art. Post-graduation, Ash resided in New York City, where she was able to work for a plethora of brands and firms from award-winning creative agencies to bespoke/couture houses. From the "The Godfather of Charms" to running luxury showrooms; from freelancing on myriad of exciting projects as she maintained her own freelance projects to include BEAU MONDE to working full-time at the corporate HQ's of $MM brands. Ash's rare understanding and ability to balance both the creative and business sides of any project have awarded her much success. Photoshoots, Illustrations, Branding, Websites, Event Collateral, Portfolio Websites, Logos, Business Cards, Promotional Flyers, Lookbooks, and more. As I observe privacy policies with a lot of my clients, they do not want others to know someone outside of their team is/was involved in their business creation or branding, so I stay behind the scenes and remain loyal to their wishes. Hence I cannot include them in my portfolio.
